Pros: As a remote Instructional Designer, the work flexibility is a big plus. I really like the WFH setup from California, it helps with my work-life balance. They're generally okay with flexible hours as long as you hit your project milestones in learning technologies.
Cons: It's not always perfect though. Sometimes the required sync meetings can be a pain for different time zones. Also, getting approval for true asynchronous work in some learning and development projects can be tough.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more async options for global teams, especially for us in learning and development.
