Pros: The team I worked with in the design department was fantastic. We collaborated well, and everyone was dedicated to producing high-quality playground equipment. It's rewarding to see the final products out in parks and schools. The company has a long history and is a stable employer in the outdoor recreation sector. They genuinely care about the safety and imaginative aspects of their play structures.
Cons: While management is generally supportive, communication about strategic shifts or project priorities could sometimes be clearer and more consistent. Some internal processes feel a bit dated, which can slow down innovation or cross-departmental workflows. More emphasis on embracing newer digital tools could really benefit workflow efficiency.
Advice to Management: Consider enhancing cross-departmental communication channels and investing in modernizing some software tools to streamline workflows and boost overall efficiency.

Pros: The best part about working here is definitely the team and the sense of camaraderie on the 2nd shift. Everyone generally pulls together to get the job done, making the environment quite supportive. As a Welder for this commercial playground equipment company, the work is consistent, offering good job security in the manufacturing industry. I've also found that management is reasonably understanding when it comes to needing time for personal appointments, which is a big plus for work
Cons: While flexibility is generally good, there are times during peak production when it can be harder to get approvals for time off, which is understandable but can be inconvenient. Sometimes, communication could be improved between the 1st and 2nd shifts, leading to minor inefficiencies or a bit of confusion on certain projects. There isn't a huge amount of upward career growth for a Welder specifically, but there are opportunities to learn new techniques and improve skills within the role.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster open communication between shifts to ensure smoother handoffs and fewer misunderstandings. Exploring more formal avenues for internal skill development or cross-training could also benefit employees looking for career progression within the company.

Pros: Leadership is highly supportive, encouraging professional growth within the manufacturing team. There's excellent teamwork, creating a collaborative environment for building quality playground equipment in Delano, MN. Strong company culture.
Cons: Peak season workload for a Production Supervisor can be demanding. While leadership communicates well, new manufacturing initiatives could use clearer advanced rollout. Career progression might feel slow without active internal networking.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering open communication channels between leadership and all levels of manufacturing staff. Invest more in structured mentorship programs to support career progression and skill development across different departments. Recognize efforts consistently.
