Good Growth Opportunities in Cloud Tech
Pros: The company fosters a culture of continuous learning and development, which was great for my career growth. There are good opportunities to work on challenging projects using cutting-edge cloud technologies. The flexible work arrangements, including remote options, really helped maintain a healthy work-life balance. The team is supportive and the collaboration is generally effective.
Cons: While leadership is generally approachable, strategic decision-making can sometimes feel a bit opaque, leading to occasional shifts in project priorities. The compensation package is competitive but could perhaps be more aggressive to retain top talent in this competitive London tech market. Some internal tools and processes could benefit from modernization.
Advice to Management: Consider more transparent communication regarding long-term strategy and be proactive in refining internal processes to enhance efficiency. Investing more in employee benefits would also be beneficial.

Hybrid Model Is Okay, But Could Be Better
Pros: They do offer a hybrid model, which is nice for a big tech company like Hyperlayer. As a Product Manager, I could usually WFH two days a week. The San Francisco office is modern, and it's good to have that option for team collaboration on our AI solutions.
Cons: Flexibility is advertised, but it's not truly flexible if your team lead expects you in more often than HR says. It's more of a 'mandated hybrid' than true WFH. Sometimes, the 'flexible hours' concept just means logging on super early or late to sync with global teams, which hurts actual work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Realign expectations between HR and individual team leads regarding remote work policies. True flexibility would make a huge difference.
