Pros: The best part about my role at Link Financial Group was definitely the commitment to work-life balance. As a financial services company, I expected long hours, but they genuinely tried to ensure reasonable workloads. The flexibility to work remotely a few days a week from Lisbon was a significant benefit, allowing me to maintain a healthy personal life. The team was generally collaborative and supportive, making day-to-day tasks enjoyable.
Cons: While the flexibility is great, I found that opportunities for rapid career growth and promotion felt somewhat limited. It often seemed like positions were filled internally without much external posting, or the path upwards was very structured and slow. Sometimes, decision-making from leadership felt a bit distant, which could lead to minor delays on projects.
Advice to Management: Consider streamlining promotion paths and increasing transparency in career advancement opportunities to retain ambitious talent within the financial operations teams.
