Job description
The candidate will be part of a team solving computational bioengineering problems. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Research, develop and evaluate algorithms and implementations
• Work with team members to develop disease transmission models
• Brainstorming technical solutions

Job requirements

• Master or Bachelor degree in chemical engineering and bioengineering related fields
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or R
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience in academic research
• Smart and hardworking individual who can work under pressure within a tight deadline
• A good team player with can-do attitude
• Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills

Job Description

• Perform numerical and finite element analysis of fiber-reinforced composite specimens, tanks and pipes.
• Optimize lay-up, materials selection and design of thermoplastic composite tanks and pipes.
• Model and optimize automatic fiber placement (AFP) and filament winding (FW) processes for thermoplastic composites.
• Perform limited experimental characterization of mechanical properties of thermoplastic composites.
• Work closely with other work packages (WP) within the program.

Qualifications

• PhD from reputable university in applied mechanics.
• Expertise in fiber-reinforced composites.
• Proficient in advanced finite element and numerical analysis.
• Experience in research in mechanical engineering and fiber-reinforced composites preferred.
