What you will do
Service Technicians diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems, electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.
How you will do it
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to repair equipment.
Service, troubleshoot, and install card access, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as smart phones and laptop computers.
Obtain customer signature upon completed service call assignment.
Available for on-call emergency service.

Required
2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 years documented experience with card access and CCTV.
Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.

Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.

Key Role:
Function as a System Certification Specialist and Security Control Assessor as part of a team in the performance of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities ensuring National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) management, operation, technical, and privacy security control implementation compliance for large, complex DoD information systems. What will you do
Under general direction, acts as the on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm and intercom system projects with assigned customers. Performs or delegates tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including: hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout. Responsible for the overall financial results of assigned projects including: costs, project billings, and collections. What you will do
This role will be located in Westbrook, Maine and service Westbrook, Maine. Under
direct supervision and using established standards for Programming, Testing, and inspecting Fire Alarm, CCTV, and Security systems. Provide detailed reports of the system operations to customers, consultants, our design team and subcontractors. Responds to basic warranty calls.
How you will do it
Performs programming for Fire Alarm systems, CCTV, Access Control and Intrusion Systems using brand specific software and Code requirements.
Perform the installation of small Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and intrusion systems using the proper codes.
Assists in the programming and commissioning of all systems as required. Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
Gathers field changes from the project team and creates as-built drawings and software. Prepares proper documentation and/or manuals for system operation.
Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
Assist in Scheduling projects with our customers.
Assists in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system.
Completes paperwork including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
Adheres to safety standards. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience with installing and/or commissioning Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and Security systems.

What you will do
Service Technicians diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems, electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.

What you will do

What you will do
A Johnson Controls Security Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert possessing knowledge and experience with intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers. Candidate will possess strong verbal communication skills as they identify the needs of the customer and then inform them of next steps and processes to repair the system as needed to return full functionality. Candidate will possess skills and experience to inspect said systems to ensure proper functionality and provide written or digital reports to customer and company as needed.
