About the business and the role
Billroy Manufacturing and Engineering (BME) is a family owned and operated manufacturing business providing a wide range of products & services for clients across a diverse range of industries. Our workshop includes modern fabrication equipment, conventional machine tools & CNC machines. We're looking for a motivated CNC Machinist that takes pride in their work to help increase our machining capacity due to increasing work load.

Job tasks and responsibilities
• Programming, setting and operating CNC vertical mills and lathes for the manufacture of relatively small, low quantity steel components.
• Perform quality checks on finished components.
• Routine maintenance of machines and calibration of measuring equipment.
• Cutting / preparing materials prior to machining.
• Maintain a clean and efficient work area.
• Follow Safe Work Instructions and comply with safe work practices.

Skills and experience
• Must have demonstrated experience in CNC milling and turning (experience with on-machine conversational programming preferred).
• Must be skilled in the use of metal cutting tools and measuring instruments.
• Must have a high level of attention to detail.
• Must be able to interpret and understand drawings.
• Must be able to openly communicate, follow procedures and work within a small highly motivated team.
• Relevant trade qualification preferred.
• Conventional turning and milling experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software preferred.
• Forklift licence preferred.
• Car licence preferred.
• Willingness to learn new skills, share knowledge and operate new machinery.

• Motivating and supervising employees.
• Evaluating the performance of your assigned employees, delivering positive and/or negative feedback, and addressing any shortcomings.

JOB SCOPE

• Liaise with Oberon Distributors.
• Direct warehouse to fulfil export orders.
• Attend to shipping concerns; documentations for export bookings.

• Well versed with Shipping Incoterms / Exports

• Singaporean
