Your Impact:

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of regulatory environments and legislative processes.

Information:

Position: Duty Security Manager
Location: Central London (EC3)
Pay Rate: £40,500 per annum
Hours: Average 42 hours per week
Shifts: 4 on 4 off – Days & Nights

Requirements:

SIA Door Supervisor is required
Security management / supervisory / team leadership experience is required of at least 2 years
Excellent service excellence and attention to detail skills
Strong leadership, proactive, adaptable, management & prioritising skills
Strong IT (Word, Outlook & Excel) and telephony skills
Strong incident report and writing skills
Well-presented and excellent communication skills
First Aid qualification, Banksman, Fire Marshall & IOSH is a bonus.
Be confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific duties.
Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested.

Duties to include:

Providing service excellence to staff, visitors and VIP’s that attend the campus at all times.
Responding and attending to all emergency situations or incidents
Overseeing all first aid and fire alarm activations (must be confident in fire marshal duties in addition to being competent in operating all fire panels)
Problem solving and prioritisation skills
Managing officers in relation to their duties, uniform standards, training and performance
Perform and document officer appraisals (121’s) encourage team learning and development
Conduct detailed investigations to a high standard
Overseeing daily, weekly and monthly safety checks of equipment and the campus
Be responsible for daily security operations of the site
Oversee key management
Operate CCTV where necessary and react to incidents
All paperwork to be completed accurately and with a high level of detail, forwarding to the appropriate personnel as required
Multi-tasking daily duties and having input on management projects
Ensure incidents are dealt with professionally and in line with the relevant SOP
Incident reports to be completed to a high standard, including timings, names, titles, details, CCTV stills, statements and witness statements
Assisting with last minute and / or ad-hoc requests
Effective shift handover to oncoming Shift Manager
Train and develop Officers, ensuring new staff complete their ‘Officer Training Manual’ within 3 months of the Officer starting.
Training records and ongoing scenario based testing of security team response.
Effective management and recording of all security equipment (Radios, Bodycams etc).
Effective and accurate management of keys.
Electronic DOB completed accurately.

Additional Responsibilities


Linking in with Local Authorities.
Developing strong working relationships with all emergency services.
Training and development of the team: Drills / SOP Drills / Scenario Testing / Dry runs
All team members are briefed as to their incident response duties at the start of each shift and ensuring all Officers have their deployment timetable at the beginning of shift.
Be proficient in the use of electronic systems including Genetec and DataStation.
Monitor and respond to all building related alarm systems within timeframes (listed in relevant SOPs)
Lead, manage and motivate the team.
Performance management in line with company policy & procedure. This will include attending and conducting investigations with Officers under instruction from Security Contracts Manager and / or Head of Security.
Monitor staff presentation through routine inspections and immediately address shortfalls. Pattern of poor standards to be escalated to Security Contracts Manager.
Respond to all incidents or security issues and liaise with the Security Contracts Manager and Head of Security when required.
Oversee Roster and scheduling responsibilities in alignment with rostering process and procedures.
Advise the Head of Security immediately of any incident or issue that may affect service delivery.
Brief the team daily on the days taskings / events / planned incidents / new processes or procedures etc.
Always make a positive personal impact and be seen at the forefront of good practice.
Perform or assist with all reasonable client / company requests.
Be an exemplar for Team Working - shift team and site leadership team
Oversee and operate ExGarde / access control system
Oversee and ensure electronic systems such as the E-DOB, Genetec and DataStation and updated accordingly.
Assist and support the Head of Security with projects and taskings and any other reasonable duties.
