The Program Administrator will provide essential support to the Faculty of Music, ensuring
smooth day-to-day operations and assisting in the administration of educational programs.
This entry-level role is pivotal in facilitating effective communication and organization within
the department under the supervision of the Dean and/or the Chief Academic Officer.
Administrative Support and Coordination:
• Assist in the coordination of daily administrative activities to support the Faculty of Music.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to curriculum, faculty, and students.
• Handle logistical arrangements for classes, meetings, and faculty events.
Communication and Interpersonal Engagement:
• Serve as a point of contact for students, faculty, and external parties.
• Facilitate effective communication channels within the faculty and across departments.
• Assist with the dissemination of information to students and staff regarding academic
schedules, changes, and updates.
Resource Management and Operational Assistance:
• Support the Faculty of Music in resource allocation and inventory management.
• Assist with budget tracking and expense management to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Organize and maintain digital and physical files for easy access and administrative
efficiency.
Student Support Services:
• Assist with the organization of student orientation and registration processes.
• Provide administrative support for academic advising and career guidance initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Educational Background: Diploma or degree in Administration, Business, Performing Arts
or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role is beneficial but not required.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Organizational Skills: Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient with office software Google Workspace and Office 365
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
• Customer Service Experience: Skills in handling inquiries and providing support in a
courteous and professional manner.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks with high precision and accuracy.
• Initiative: Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and support the faculty in various
capacities.
