Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

NHW currently have multiple positions available and would like to encourage all Midwives, Registered and Enrolled Nurses to apply for employment within our Nursing teams. We also have limited Healthcare Worker positions available.

A proficient knowledge of current nursing practice is essential.

About the Role   
The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to encourage client participation in screening, assessment, recall, contact tracing, education and treatment of Syphilis and other STIs, through community health clinics. The community health program aims to ensure services and education are delivered in a culturally appropriate way to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients with access to marginalised and homeless groups. 
In addition, you will promote awareness and education programs within the community, engage with local schools, encourage greater collaboration with co-locators within the surrounding communities and Western Desert. Outcomes include greater awareness of safer sexual behaviors and connection for individuals to supplementary primary health care services to address health issues.
