• Schedule Plastic surgery patients to meet the needs of the service as and when required.
• Book appointments for patients for the services as required onto Patient Care.
• Manage patient’s expectations when booking appointments and advising them of updates.
• Monitor clinics to ensure that they are fully utilized and ensure full clinics wherever possible.
• Monitor and manage patient pathways for all patients in the services make every effort to ensure all patients are offered an appointment within 8 weeks of referral.
• Schedule all diagnostics that are required for each clinic type in a time effective order to ensure the patients receive an excellent service from QVH at MMH.
• Ensure there are regular reviews of all the outstanding patients in the service to ensure patients are seen in the timescales allowed.

Job Description

The post holder will work in an agreed area of Occupational Therapy Services, ensuring provision of quality service to service users. The post holder will work in partnership with health and social care colleagues in order to deliver clinically effective services which encompass assessment, treatment and support of people within the community, in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnerships Strategic Plan and the Council’s Community Plan.

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council.

The workstyle for this post is Mobile - 20-49% of time is office based. Able to work at home, or another location, or travel directly from home to other locations and client visits out in the field.
