Sponsorships play a central role in the marketing strategy for Visa globally. We are proud sponsors of the Olympics, FIFA NFL and Red Bull Racing globally – the biggest and most engaging sporting events in the world. These assets allow Visa to create marketing programs that engage with our audiences around things that they care deeply and passionately about.
Our clients have the ability to activate these events as well, through our pass-through rights, creating endless possibilities to create co-marketing programs that drive the combined business of our clients and Visa – helping drive issuance, activation and usage of Visa products.
The Client Marketing Sponsorships Senior Manager, will lead, design and execute co-marketing programs in collaboration with the team of client marketeers in the various markets, aiming at supporting our key clients across Asia Pacific with our sponsorships, including both strategic plans and tactical campaigns. You will also work in collaboration with the regional Client Marketing Services Team, develop an understanding of our client’s business strategies and needs and use that to identify opportunities for joint marketing programs that deliver growth for the client and for Visa.
Reporting to the Head of Sponsorship Marketing, this role will lead Visa towards the big events that will happen in the coming years: the activation of Red Bull racing with a focus on the 4 AP races (Australia, China, Japan and Singapore), the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games, The FIFA World Cup 2026, as well as a myriad of regional and local sponsorships.
Working closely with our client marketing teams, you will be the internal sponsorship specialist for clients, partners and merchants and offer the right marketing assets and services, with compelling, persuasive, engaging and actionable communications.
This role will be based in Singapore, but focus is across all AP markets. This is a key role in a Marketing function which is growing at a very fast pace, with high visibility within the organization.
What a Sr. Marketing Manager does at Visa:
- You will drive commercial outcomes and deliver incremental revenue growth.
- You will use one of the strongest sponsorship portfolios in the industry to develop sponsorship marketing campaigns that address specific business goals for our clients to support our client marketing teams across AP
- You will directly contribute to the growth of Visa’s business in identifying, forecasting, delivering and tracking revenue-generating initiatives using our sponsorship properties, including Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, NFL and Red Bull Racing
- You will support local and regional teams in the creation of regional and local sponsorships assets and activation concepts to drive client investment and activation for all our sponsorships
- You will support on measurement of our sponsorships specifically related to Client Marketing
- You will lead on the development of Sell In materials internal/external to ensure best possible traction with our client marketing teams
- You will help with the assessment and growth of new opportunities within sponsorships as the industry evolves, such as the exponential growth in gaming and the role Visa has to play
Qualifications
As a candidate you should have:
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in marketing, preferably with strong background in sponsorships
- You will have a solid marketing background and experience in managing a variety of effective, end-to-end customer marketing programs, including consumer acquisition, spend campaigns, loyalty programs, communication and promotions.
- You will understand what it takes to successfully develop relationships and deliver co-marketing programs with large enterprise clients, having ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and matrix decision-making.
- You will have very strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- With superior attention to detail, you will execute with discipline, in compliance with underlying policies and keeping accurate trackers and reports.
- You will manage, stretch and inspire local agency partners to execute integrated marketing programs and communications with client banks.
- You will bring passion, energy and creativity to our team, but also humility and self-awareness to listen to the customer and others around you before making decisions and taking decisive actions. - You will always stay true to your own and Visa’s principles, maintaining integrity, resilience and perseverance to overcome obstacles and setbacks.
