Technical Assistant - Street Lighting Fault Officer needed in Liverpool.

The pay rate is £11.00ph PAYE

The successful candidate will action Street lighting faults by allocating to appropriate groups to effect a repair or resolution and will maintain accurate records of faults both outstanding and resolved.

They will assist in the assessment, procurement and delivery of Transport and Highways programmes and policies, to agreed budgets, timescales and standards, leading to the achievement of the Service targets, as directed and will carry out site visits across the city which will include, taking photographs delivering public consultation materials, erecting notices that comply with the legal requirement to notify residents of schemes. Support for special events will also be required and this could mean out of hours work, therefore a requirement to work flexibly.

Position is located at a Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) which consists of multiple institutions composed of various security levels.

Responsible for supervision of civilian staff and for assisting in managing, developing, organizing, implementing, and maintaining a diversified food service program for the inmate population.

Serves as an Assistant Food Service Administrator and is in complete charge of the institution’s food service operations in the facility they are assigned, under the guidance of the overall complex Food Service Administrator.

Assists in planning, controlling, and evaluating department operations such as managing budget resources for anticipated and atypical expenses for the Food Service Department; establishing standards of sanitation, safety and security; developing menus and evaluating inmate acceptance of food quantity and quality.

Responsible for the coordination of all phases of food preparation to assure the meals are properly prepared and served to include such remote areas as Health Services, Receiving and Discharge, and the Special Housing Units.

Responsible for processing budget, medical and other administrative documents, to include updating, maintaining, researching, inventorying and filing records.

Responsible for prioritizing assigned tasks, soliciting feedback, preparing and consolidating reports and retrieving and maintaining records for two cost centers and monthly accruals.

Assists with technical and analytical tasks involving complex medical material procurement.

Serves as a liaison between the Financial Management Department and the Health Services Department.

Serves as a contact person in dealing with community hospitals and contract consultants relating to the Health Services Department billing, and scheduling of patient appointments and procedures, and tracking outside medical contractor time sheets.

To carry out the routine dispensing and issuing of prescriptions, including in-patients, outpatients and discharge prescriptions that have been clinically screened by a pharmacist in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures in the department and on the wards. This will include assisting in the recording and monitoring of dispensing errors. To ensure the overall tidiness of the working area in the Dispensary and on the wards To use the pharmacy computer system to dispense, issue, label and return medicines in accordance with level of training provided. To carry out routine duties in the dispensary including daily stock checks, stock returns, and maintenance of stock levels and checking expiry dates to ensure pharmaceutical waste is dealt with appropriately in a cost effective manner. To assist in the replenishment and rotation of emergency boxes on the wards and departments. To carry out, monitor and check the issuing, stock control, assembly and purchasing of medicines in accordance with safe systems of work with particular emphasis on checking expiry dates, both in the pharmacy and on all wards on a monthly basis. The post holder will be assisting Public Protection enforcement officers and managers with the successful delivery of an ICT data migration project and will be tasked with digital housekeeping of historic data and working with an implementation team to search, identify and highlight existing data and prepare it to facilitate a smooth transition to a new database.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with computers and handling digital data and databases in a commercial environment.

The role will require the review of existing data and processes held by the Public Protection Service.

The Public Protection Team deals with a broad range of statutory functions, including Environmental Health, Private Sector Rented Housing, Licensing and Trading Standards and there will be opportunities to gain a unique understanding of this interesting area of enforcement and opportunity to develop your existing ICT skills and gain an insight into data collection, management and migration.
