Quality Engineer (QA/ RCA)
location: Tuas Avenue (Transport provided island-wide)

Plan, co-ordinate and oversee all QA support activities and initiatives in the work cell. To improve process capabilities and product quality to meet the desired targets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the product quality from assembly to packaging process and ensure full compliance to the Quality System and regulation requirements.
• Champion data-driven decisions to resolve non-conformances, complaint investigation, CAPA, deviation and other quality matters in a timely manner.
• Interfaces with R&D, unit quality, customer quality engineer to formulate plans and actions to meet product specifications and quality requirements.
• Drive quality improvement/automation projects through project planning, scheduling inspection/testing activities, performing analysis and publishing reports.
• Perform test method validation, installation qualification, correlation study for new quality equipment/test method.
• Act as a support role for regulatory, external, internal and/or supplier audits and lead the value stream members to execute the corrective actions for compliance with customer specifications.
• Perform data analysis and trending for product quality performance through monthly and quarterly management review meeting.
• Establish and maintain effective system and procedures to ensure that all manufacturing and engineering documentation are controlled and updated per established regulatory requirements.
• Supervise quality technical specialist and a group of technicians on quality tests and checks.
• Safety & ISO 14001 Environmental accountability: Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company's rules and procedures.
• Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned. 

Job Requirement:

Required:

• Comfortable working at Tuas Avenue, with Company shuttle bus provided island-wide.
• 1-2 years relevant working experiences in a quality engineer role.
• Demonstrated good understanding of key elements of Quality Management system, CFR Part 820, ISO.
• Hands-on experience in Root Cause Analysis.

Preferred:

• Preferably possess Six Sigma Green-Belt certification or knowledge on six sigma tools.
• Able to effectively multi-task and work independently with a high level of initiative

Quality Assurance Engineer

· Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering to ensure components, finished products and processes meet established specifications.

· Analyse material and processes and make recommendations/ take action to correct deficiencies.

· Troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Summarize and draw conclusions from test results leading to effective technical resolution of process problems.

· Disposition non-conforming material requiring advanced process/technical knowledge. Work directly with suppliers to prevent or correct discrepant material

· Perform detailed Root Cause Investigation of failed product or processes using various quality tools (5 Whys, 6 M, Ishikawa Diagram, Pareto Charts).

· Implement corrective and preventative actions.

· Work with Production, Manufacturing/Process Engineering to create validation protocols, summaries and approvals to resolve process issues and implement changes.

· Initiate corrective action requests on discrepant product/processes and verify adequacy and accuracy of corrective action taken internally and/or externally

· Apply knowledge of process control tools, statistical sampling, and other analytical techniques to maximize the quality and flow of product through the production line.

· Develop and review documented operating procedures associated with material inspection or processes

Our requirements:

• Min Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering
• Min of 2 years’ experience in QA Biomedical Engineering
• Must possess excellent team work and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on good analytical skills

Role Overview

We are supporting a large enterprise in search for a quality assurance engineer to drive system quality, reliability, and performance across a large-scale technology transformation programme.

You will play a key role in ensuring quality across both legacy systems (Java, Sybase) and a modern cloud-native architecture on Microsoft Azure (.NET, Azure SQL). This role goes beyond traditional testing—you will contribute to automation, CI/CD integration, and platform stability.

Key Responsibilities:

•⁠  ⁠You will design and execute test strategies across the SDLC and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and UAT to ⁠ensure test coverage, traceability, and quality metrics

•⁠  ⁠Developing and maintaining automated and manual test cases, performing functional, regression, and exploratory testing as well as managing defects, test artefacts, and quality reporting will be key

•⁠  ⁠In addition to collaborating with stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria, you will also need to build and enhance test automation frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and monitor application performance, reliability, and stability

•⁠  ⁠Other regular activities also include supporting environment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance, contributing to continuous improvement of QA practices and maintaining test documentation and reporting

Required Skills & Experience

•⁠  ⁠Alongside your strong experience in software testing/quality engineering, you would come with a minimum of 6 years hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks

•⁠  ⁠Good understanding of CI/CD and Agile practices, cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) as well as performance testing, security testing and system integration testing are crucial to the success of this role

•⁠  ⁠Some basic knowledge of infrastructure or platform operations is also vital 

•⁠  ⁠You should be familiar with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and IaC tools (Terraform, etc.)

•⁠  ⁠Any experiences in cloud migration / modernization projects, DevOps practices, Java or .NET environments will be highly regarded.
