Role Overview:
- Join Persevio as our first dedicated Agent Engineer and technical partner to the CTO. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of our core product, Viona, into a sophisticated, autonomous AI agent. You will own the AI agent layer end-to-end, creating advanced agentic loops, long-term memory systems, and high-impact user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect the Agentic Future: Lead the development of autonomous agents, implementing advanced context management, tool-calling capabilities, and long-term memory.
- Drive AI-Native Development: Leverage modern AI-enhanced development methodologies to maintain a high-velocity delivery cadence, shipping robust features at the speed of the evolving AI field.
- Own the Product Lifecycle: Act as a technical product owner by participating in feature definitions, shaping the UX of the chat experience, and ensuring technical decisions align with user needs.
- Scale Technical Capabilities: Explore and integrate new modalities (such as voice) and complex intent recognition to move Viona beyond text-based interactions.
- Pragmatic Engineering: Balance architectural integrity with startup speed, making high-judgment calls on when to build for scale and when to ship functional prototypes.
Requirements:
Minimum/Core Requirements:
- AI-Native Mindset: Deep proficiency in utilizing AI-enhanced software development methodologies to accelerate the development lifecycle and enhance delivery velocity.
- Rapid Technical Adaptation: Demonstrated ability to quickly absorb and apply emerging technologies, frameworks, and research (e.g., Agentic Loops, RAG, MCP).
- Product-Led Engineering: A strong interest in the "why" behind the code, with a track record of contributing to product definition and user experience.
- Resilience in Ambiguity: Experience thriving in high-growth, fast-paced environments where priorities can shift based on market feedback.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Business Chinese is required to effectively collaborate and conduct technical discussions with our development team based in China.
Preferred/Bonus Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in developing Agent-based products or managing complex LLM context and memory.
- Proficiency in Golang and React, our current core technology stack.
- Familiarity with infrastructure, CLI tools, or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
