Engineer (BSSD) - Contract

What The Role Is

You will be part of a team involved in a wide range of civil and structural engineering works, including but not limited to the development of storage facility sites, structural appraisal, and instrumentation monitoring for HDB buildings. In safeguarding the structural safety of HDB buildings, you will be involved in monitoring works and technical discussions with relevant agencies carrying out deep excavation and tunnelling projects in close proximity to HDB buildings.

What You Will Be Working On

You will be involved in the policy and operational matters relating to the maintenance of HDB properties. You will also be part of a project team involved in providing technical solutions for engineering and maintenance feedback, as well as the management of post-construction and improvement works in HDB estates. You will be involved in technical discussions with agencies, contractors and consultants to critically review and manage the design and construction works for improvement projects in HDB estates.

You will plan and manage the procurement and supply of concreting materials, including budget planning and budgetary control, and to ensure continuous and timely supply of concreting materials for HDB’s building programme. You will be required to review and ensure the technical compliance of material properties in accordance to established design codes. You will also be involved in policy matters for building up material storage resilience and the overall management of storage facility sites. Your responsibilities include overseeing the managing agent’s supply and quality management operation, and liaising with internal departments, building contractors, consultants and suppliers on the supply operation matters.

What We Are Looking For

You should possess a relevant background in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore with minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience. You should have the ability to work independently, analyse problems and develop creative and viable solutions. Candidates with work experience in design, site and operations management would have an added advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.



Successful candidates will be offered a 1+1 year contract.
