Join the Strategic Plans team to shape the future of DSTA through enterprise-wide strategies, policies and governance frameworks. In this role, you will support DSTA’s long-term planning, performance monitoring, governance and enterprise-wide engagement efforts.


Key Responsibilities


Enterprise Strategy and Governance

  • Support the planning and implementation of enterprise-level strategies, policies, and governance processes.
  • Lead the communication and roll-out of strategic initiatives at enterprise-wide events, and coordinate follow-up efforts with internal stakeholders.


Board Engagement and Corporate Governance

  • Manage DSTA Board-related matters, including Board Meetings, retreats, renewal and onboarding of Board Directors, and adherence to the DSTA Code of Governance.


Performance Monitoring and Strategic Reporting

  • Oversee enterprise-level and business entity level performance monitoring, reporting and analysis in alignment with DSTA’s strategic objectives.
  • Identify gaps and recommend management interventions where necessary.


Culture Building and Staff Engagement

  • Support initiatives to promote a culture of productivity and innovation across DSTA.
  • Plan and organise staff engagement events to communicate strategic initiatives and gather staff feedback.


Strategic Planning and Risk Management

  • Assist in DSTA’s enterprise strategic planning process, including the development and refinement of organisational strategies.
  • Support the identification and monitoring of strategic and operational risks.


Requirements

  • A degree in technical discipline, with experience preferably, but not essential, in strategic and corporate planning functions.
  • Familiarity with DSTA’s operations and the broader defence technology ecosystem is an advantage.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responsible, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage across all levels.
