Solid WFH experience for learning roles
Pros: Work-life balance here is actually pretty good, especially if you're working remote. As a Technical Curriculum Developer, I've found it manageable to stick to roughly 40-hour weeks. The flexibility for remote roles in IT training is a big plus, letting me balance personal stuff easily.
Cons: It's not perfect though. There are times when project deadlines get super tight, and you do feel the crunch. Sometimes, late meetings pop up for folks in different time zones, which can mess with your evening plans if you're not careful. Communication around these can be better.
Advice to Management: Encourage teams to truly disconnect after hours. Sometimes the lines get blurry with global teams, and it would be great to enforce clearer boundaries around meeting times.

Remote Work is Solid Here, Mostly.
Pros: I've enjoyed the remote work setup as a Curriculum Developer. It's really flexible for personal appointments. For a big tech company, they handle remote work pretty well.
Cons: Sometimes it's tough to coordinate across time zones, especially with global teams. I don't feel like there's a strong hybrid model option if you want to pop into an office, it's pretty much remote or nothing.
Advice to Management: Consider making hybrid work a more viable option for those who want it. Also, make cross-time zone collaboration easier for distributed teams working on enterprise software training.

Great Flexibility for Remote Instructional Designers
Pros: The work flexibility is really good here, especially for a large tech company. As an Instructional Designer, I've got good control over my daily tasks and my schedule.
Cons: But even with the flexibility, project deadlines for curriculum development can feel pretty tight sometimes. Also, coordinating across time zones as a fully remote employee is often a real headache.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize cross-team communication protocols for remote staff more. It would really help with aligning across different time zones. Maybe offer more internal training for career development paths too.

Decent Learning, but Career Growth is Slow
Pros: It's a really solid place to learn about the Nutanix ecosystem. As a Learning Specialist, I got tons of exposure to new tech and training methodologies. The team for internal training roles is pretty collaborative too.
Cons: Career advancement isn't great here. There aren't many clear paths for promotion beyond your initial role, especially if you're remote from Oregon like I was. You often have to leave the company to really move up.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career ladders and development plans for Learning and Development roles. It'd help with retention and internal movement.

Job Security Feels Shaky Lately
Pros: It's a big tech company, so the benefits are decent. I've learned a lot about enterprise software training here. Some teams, especially those doing critical product training, feel pretty stable.
Cons: Job security for roles like mine as a Curriculum Developer isn't the best right now. There's been a lot of internal restructuring, and I've seen quite a few layoffs in the past year. It makes it tough to feel secure, even with hybrid work.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans. Clearer communication would really help ease the job security concerns.
