Pros: It's nice that they do offer a hybrid work model for most Software Engineer roles. You usually come into the Austin office a couple of days a week, which is manageable. This setup lets me avoid the commute daily, which is a big plus.
Cons: Even with the hybrid model, flexibility often depends on your manager. Some teams are stricter about onsite days than others. For a big tech company, sometimes it feels like they could trust us more for remote work. Projects can still demand long hours, reducing overall flexibility.
Advice to Management: Encourage managers to be more consistent with work flexibility policies. Trust your teams more for remote work when possible, especially for experienced developer roles.
