Decent Work-Life Balance for a Big Tech Company
Being a Software Engineer here, the work-life balance is pretty decent most of the time. It's not perfect, but it's better than some other big tech places I've been. You can usually get your stuff done without burning out too much.
I really appreciate the remote work flexibility. As a Software Engineer working remotely from Austin, TX, I can manage my day pretty well. The teams are usually pretty good about respecting boundaries, which is a big plus in the cybersecurity industry.
There are definitely crunch times, especially before big launches or when we're dealing with urgent security issues. Sometimes, project deadlines feel unrealistic, leading to longer hours. It's not consistently a 40-hour week.
Try to be more realistic with project timelines and resource allocation. It'd help a lot with preventing burnout during those peak times.
