Solid Hybrid Model for Engineers
Pros: The hybrid model is pretty solid here, especially for an HVAC Design Engineer. I really appreciated being able to work from home a few days a week, it cuts down on the drive to the Davidson, NC office. It's a decent setup for flexibility.
Cons: It's not always perfectly consistent, though. Some managers are a bit stricter, and big project deadlines can mean more onsite days than you plan for. I've seen it vary a lot between different teams.
Advice to Management: Try to get all managers on the same page regarding remote work policies. It'd be great if the hybrid model was more uniformly applied and less subject to individual manager discretion.

Decent Flexibility for Engineering Teams
Pros: I appreciated the hybrid work option, which was great for my work-life balance. As an HVAC Design Engineer, I could often choose my days in the Davidson, NC office, which helped avoid traffic. It's a solid perk.
Cons: True remote work isn't really an option for many roles, especially if you're working on physical product designs. The core hours can be a bit strict, so for engineering roles, it's not full flexibility, more like 'structured flexibility'.
Advice to Management: Maybe look into expanding true remote options for roles that genuinely don't need to be in the office. More trust in employees would go a long way.

Solid Role in a Stable Industry
Pros: Working as an HVAC Design Engineer in our Davidson, NC office, I've found job security here is really good. The HVAC industry keeps growing, so there's always demand for our climate control solutions. It's a large corporate company, so layoffs aren't a common worry for steady performers.
Cons: Sometimes it feels like you're just a number in such a big organization. While security is there, career advancement can be slow due to the sheer size. We do see internal reorganizations periodically, which can shake things up a bit.
Advice to Management: Keep communication clear during any reorganizations. Invest more in visible career paths for technical roles.
