Pros: For an onsite role in electronics manufacturing, the work-life balance is pretty decent. I typically worked 40-45 hour weeks as a Process Engineer. They're good about flexible start times which helps a lot with personal appointments.
Cons: Sometimes projects mean longer hours, especially close to deadlines. It's tough when you're dealing with chemical solutions processes and something breaks down late. You can't just leave during critical production issues.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project deadlines to avoid last-minute crunch times for engineers on the floor.

Pros: I gotta say, having some hybrid work options is a plus. For a Process Engineer, you can often WFH a couple days if your onsite tasks are clear. It's better than full-time onsite for sure in this corporate environment.
Cons: The flexibility isn't always what it seems though. There's still a strong push for onsite presence, especially in the Waterbury, CT office. It can be hard to truly balance things when you're expected in for everything.
Advice to Management: Really embrace the hybrid model. Trust employees more to get their work done remotely, especially for roles like Process Engineer where some tasks can be done off-site.

Pros: The health benefits package is pretty solid for a large corporate company. You get good medical coverage. Also, the 401k match kicks in pretty fast, which is a plus for retirement planning.
Cons: Base salary for a Process Engineer isn't super competitive, especially in the New England area. Raises are really slow. Don't expect huge bonuses in this electronics manufacturing industry.
Advice to Management: Review salary bands for key engineering roles. You're losing good talent to competitors offering more competitive base pay in the chemical solutions and electronics industries.
