Hybrid model is okay for luxury retail.
Pros: The hybrid model is actually pretty decent for corporate roles like mine, especially in the New York City office. I can usually work from home a couple days a week, which is a big plus for work-life balance.
Cons: Work flexibility isn't consistent across the board though. For those in the retail sector or the boutique, it's pretty much all onsite, which makes sense for luxury watches but can be tough.
Advice to Management: Try to find ways to offer more flexibility to all employees, not just corporate. Even a bit more remote work for specific tasks could help morale in the retail sector.

Pretty solid if you hit your sales targets
Pros: Job security for us Retail Sales Associates in the New York City boutique felt pretty stable if you're consistently hitting your numbers. If you're good at selling high-end timepieces, management usually leaves you alone. It's a global brand, so there's always a baseline need for good staff.
Cons: The Swiss watchmaking industry can be a bit volatile. Layoffs can still happen during slow periods, especially for newer sales professionals. There isn't a ton of upward mobility for on-site retail roles, which affects how secure you feel long-term.
Advice to Management: Try to provide more clarity on potential restructuring or slower periods. It would help boost morale and reduce anxiety for the sales teams in the boutiques.

Okay flexibility for luxury retail, not bad
Pros: They're usually pretty good about approving time off if you ask early enough, which is key in luxury watch retail. It's nice to swap shifts with other Sales Associates when needed. You get some say in your schedule, more than other retail jobs.
Cons: Still, as a Sales Associate, most of your work is strictly onsite. Don't expect to WFH. Weekend and holiday shifts are a big part of the job; there's not much flexibility there for corporate events.
Advice to Management: Try to find more ways to offer true flexibility beyond just shift swaps, especially for long-term retail employees.
