Decent Culture for Software Engineers, But Needs Work
Pros: It's pretty collaborative as a Software Engineer here. Teams generally get along, and there's a focus on technical excellence in the messaging middleware industry. The hybrid work setup in the Ottawa office is a big plus too.
Cons: Sometimes the internal communication feels a bit clunky. Decisions can take longer than they should, which is frustrating. There's also some resistance to new ideas if they challenge the status quo.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving internal communication channels and empower teams more. Be more open to feedback and new approaches from the ground up.

Culture Needs Work, Solid Tech Here
Pros: As a Software Engineer working on data streaming solutions, I've found the technical challenges pretty engaging. My direct team in the Ottawa office was supportive. I also liked the hybrid work model which offered decent flexibility.

Pros: I've learned a lot working on their core messaging platform. The technical challenges for a Software Engineer are pretty solid. Plus, the hybrid model in the Ottawa office offers decent flexibility when you need it.
Cons: Leadership can be really inconsistent here. There's a lot of micromanagement from some senior folks, which kills initiative. It often feels like management isn't aligned on big picture goals, especially for new projects in distributed systems.
