Pros: As a Financial Analyst, the hybrid model with set WFH days really helped. It's solid for managing personal stuff in the Sydney office. You get decent work-life integration for corporate roles.
Cons: Sometimes, there's not much wiggle room if you need more flexibility beyond the hybrid setup. For some roles, especially in the petroleum industry operations, it's pretty much onsite. It could be better for ad-hoc requests.
Advice to Management: Try to empower managers more to approve flexible arrangements on a case-by-case basis. Not every role in the energy sector needs to be rigid.

Pros: You get solid annual leave, which is a big plus. There's some flexibility for admin tasks, especially if you're not physically in the Sydney office all the time. For a large corporate, the benefits package is decent.
Cons: The hours can be really long, especially for Retail Operations Manager roles. Expect weekend calls and being on-call quite a bit for fuel retail sites. It's hard to truly switch off when you're managing convenience stores.
Advice to Management: Consider better staffing models to reduce the on-call burden for managers. More support for our frontline teams would really help improve overall work-life balance.

Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge plus, giving me WFH days which really helps. As a Logistics Coordinator in the Sydney office, I appreciate that. My team tries to stick to reasonable hours, which is nice for a big corporate.
Cons: Sometimes the workload in fuel distribution gets intense, especially around peak times. It's not always a true 40-hour week; some weeks you definitely put in more. There's pressure to be available even after hours.
Advice to Management: Try to protect employee time more, especially for those in operations like Logistics Coordinator roles. Clear boundaries on after-hours contact would help a lot.
