Pros: The team is genuinely good, everyone's super smart. I learned a lot on the job with new tech in this startup environment. It's a solid place to get hands-on experience in agile development.
Cons: Real career growth for Software Engineers is tough though. There aren't clear paths up, especially for mid-level folks in the San Francisco office. I don't see many people getting promotions.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clear career ladders for all engineering roles. More mentorship programs and opportunities for internal promotions would really help retain talent. It feels like there's no real investment in employee development.

Pros: Some team leads in the software development industry here are genuinely good mentors. They try their best to support you and are pretty solid. There's an effort sometimes to listen to employee feedback.
Cons: Upper management often feels out of touch with daily operations. Key decisions for us as Junior Software Engineers can come out of nowhere. It really makes you feel like your input doesn't matter much.
Advice to Management: Try to engage more directly with engineering teams. Make decision-making processes more transparent across all roles, especially for a mid-size tech company. Listen to the people on the ground; they know what's happening.
