Pay is okay, but benefits need work
Pros: The base salary for an IT Consultant is pretty competitive. I felt like I was paid fairly for my experience in this remote role, especially for the typical 45-50 hour work weeks. It's solid for the IT consulting industry.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great. Health insurance options are limited and pretty expensive for what you get. The 401k match is also low, which really stings compared to what bigger tech companies offer.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving the benefits package, especially health insurance and 401k contributions, to attract and retain top talent in IT consulting. More transparency on bonus structures would also help.

Okay for projects, but leadership is meh
Pros: I worked on some pretty cool digital transformation projects as an IT Consultant. There's a lot of client exposure, which is good for your resume if you're early in your career. The hybrid work model was a nice perk for work-life balance.
Cons: Leadership feels really disconnected from daily work, honestly. Upper management sometimes makes decisions that don't make sense on the ground, especially for a global consulting firm like this. Communication from the top can be unclear.
Advice to Management: Try to be more present and listen to team leads on the ground. Clarity on company direction would help everyone understand decisions. Invest in more leadership training for mid-level managers.

Leadership is a mixed bag here
Pros: Some of the team leads are really supportive, which helps a lot when you're starting out as a Junior Business Analyst. You get exposure to a lot of different client projects in the New York City office. It's decent for learning new skills.
Cons: The biggest issue is inconsistent leadership quality. Some senior managers just don't provide clear direction, especially on complex management consulting engagements. It can be frustrating when you're trying to deliver on projects.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on leadership training across the board. Providing clearer expectations and better support for project leads would make a huge difference.

Pay is Okay, Benefits Need Work
Pros: My base salary as an IT Consultant was decent. It's competitive for a mid-sized firm in the New York City tech consulting space. You can get a solid offer if you negotiate upfront.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great, honestly. Health insurance options are pretty limited. There aren't many perks beyond basic salary, even for remote workers.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously review the benefits package. Better health insurance options and some remote work stipends would really help with employee retention.

Okay Start for IT Consulting, but Growth is Slow
Pros: You get good exposure to different client projects as a new IT consultant. It's solid for building a resume in varied technologies. Project managers are generally supportive for daily tasks.
Cons: Career growth feels really slow for Junior IT Consultant roles. There's no clear promotion path or skill development plan. Formal training for digital transformation projects is minimal, so you learn mostly by just doing.
Advice to Management: Focus more on structured career development plans. Offer better internal training programs for consultants. Clear promotion criteria would really help retention, especially for junior talent.

Culture is decent, but can be a bit isolating
Pros: I've met some genuinely great people on my project teams at Amaris Consulting. It's a decent spot for a Junior Consultant looking to get into IT consulting, especially with the hybrid work setup. The New York City office has good resources.
Cons: The broader company culture feels pretty segmented. It's tough to really connect with folks outside your immediate client project. There aren't many casual company-wide events, which makes it feel a bit impersonal.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more cross-project social events and initiatives. Make it easier for consultants to connect outside their immediate teams and feel like part of a larger community.

Okay Flexibility, Depends on Your Project
Pros: Some client projects offer decent hybrid options, even full remote if the client agrees. As a technology consultant, it's good to have some control over your work location. You can usually manage your day-to-day hours fairly well.
Cons: Work flexibility really varies by client and project scope. Don't expect many consistent work-from-home days if your client demands onsite presence. It's tough for junior consultants to negotiate fully remote setups.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize remote work policies more across projects and for different consultant roles. It'd really help with consultant retention and overall employee satisfaction. More support for consistent hybrid work arrangements would be great.

Good starting point, but growth plateaus
Pros: It's solid for getting your foot in the door in IT consulting, especially for junior consultant roles. You get exposure to different clients and technologies, which is a big plus for your resume.
Cons: After a couple of years, the career growth really slows down. It's tough to see a clear path for promotion as a Consultant. Feels like you hit a wall if you want to move up quickly.
Advice to Management: Think about clearer career ladders for consultants beyond the entry level. Investing in more development programs could boost retention.

Fast-paced but decent culture if you find your team.
Pros: It's a global consulting firm, so you meet people from different backgrounds. The New York office had a pretty friendly vibe among the junior IT Consultant roles. We often had team lunches and happy hours, which was nice for bonding.
Cons: The company culture felt very focused on billable hours, which can be tough sometimes. There's not much emphasis on long-term career development or internal promotions for tech solutions roles. It's often about the next project, not necessarily your growth.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more of a cohesive company culture beyond just individual project teams. Invest in clearer career development paths for consultants, not just hitting revenue targets.

Leadership is Okay, Room to Grow
Pros: I liked the exposure to different digital transformation projects, especially as an IT Consultant. There's a solid benefits package and the hybrid work model is pretty good for work-life balance.
Cons: Leadership in the New York City office sometimes struggles with clear communication and resource allocation. It can feel like management isn't always aligned, which makes client delivery tougher.
Advice to Management: Work on clearer communication channels and better alignment across leadership teams. Invest more in leadership training for project managers to improve resource allocation.
