Good Team Culture, Fast-Paced CRO Environment
Pros: The team here is really supportive; everyone helps each other out, especially new Clinical Research Associates in the Raleigh, NC office. There's a strong sense of camaraderie among the field staff in this global CRO environment.
Cons: The workload can be intense for a global CRO, and there isn't much work flexibility beyond standard remote work options for our team. Career growth isn't always clear for some project delivery roles.
Advice to Management: Try to clarify career growth paths for Clinical Research Associate roles. Look into better managing workload distribution across the teams.

Flexibility is There, But Manager Dependent
Pros: As a Clinical Research Associate, I found the hybrid model pretty good. You usually get 2-3 WFH days a week, which helps with work-life balance in the demanding CRO industry. It's a solid benefit for CRA roles.
Cons: Sometimes the "flexibility" isn't consistent across teams. If your manager is old-school, you might struggle to adjust your schedule or work fully remote, even if others can. Project deadlines for clinical trials can also make true flexibility tough.
Advice to Management: Standardize flexibility policies across departments so it doesn't depend solely on individual managers. Support remote work options more consistently for all CRA roles.

Remote CRA life at a global CRO
Pros: I really liked the remote work flexibility. As a Clinical Research Associate, being remote from Texas made my daily life much easier. You get solid exposure to different phases of drug development, which is good for career growth.
Cons: Job security felt a bit up and down. Project changes in the CRO industry can happen fast, and sometimes you worry about being without an assignment. It's not always clear where things stand.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about upcoming project pipelines and long-term plans to help employees feel more secure. Communication around staffing decisions could be better.
