Pros: The company talks a good game about hybrid work, and sometimes it really works out. For some projects in the Chicago office, I could genuinely work remotely a couple of days a week. It's nice when you get that freedom.
Cons: The big issue is client demands. Even with Avanade's push for flexibility, many IT consulting clients expect you onsite 5 days a week. That really kills any hopes for a good work-life balance or true remote work. It just depends on your assignment.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid policy across all client projects or clearly set expectations for consultants. Push clients more on flexibility for the IT consulting teams.
