Solid culture, but can be a bit slow
Pros: I really liked the vibe in the Portland office. Everyone's passionate about footwear and apparel, which is cool. There's a strong team spirit, making the corporate environment feel friendly and collaborative.
Cons: Sometimes it feels like "culture" just means more meetings and less actual progress. As a Product Developer, getting quick decisions can be tough. The onsite expectations can also feel a bit rigid, hindering work flexibility.
Advice to Management: Try to speed up decision-making processes, especially for product development roles. Empower teams more to make choices without excessive layers of approval. Also, review the balance between required onsite time and remote work options.

Hybrid Work Helps, But It Varies
Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge plus, honestly. It lets me split my time between the Portland, OR office and home, which is great for my schedule as a Marketing Specialist. Vacation policy is pretty solid too; I've had no issues taking time off when I need it.
Cons: Even with hybrid, some teams are really crunched, especially for certain product development roles leading up to new launches. It's tough when you're in the athletic apparel industry during peak seasons. There's definitely pressure to deliver, and some days are just long.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize workloads across different departments to prevent burnout, especially for teams facing high pressure in the athletic apparel industry. More support during peak seasons would be beneficial.

Job Security Is Okay, Not Amazing
Pros: I worked as a Senior Footwear Designer in the Portland, OR office. It's a huge corporate sportswear company, so there's always design work. The brand strength gives you a solid base.
Cons: But I've seen a few team restructures and some layoffs in other consumer goods divisions. It just makes you think about your long-term job security here. Things can change pretty fast.
Advice to Management: I'd suggest more transparency on future corporate restructuring plans. It helps people understand their standing better and reduces anxiety.
