Flexibility is a mixed bag here
Pros: I've mostly been in the field as an Associate Sales Representative, which gives some freedom. It's good to manage your own medical device sales territory. The WFH option for admin days is a plus.
Cons: But honestly, actual work-life balance can be tough. There's a lot of travel and onsite requirements for customer meetings in the Chicago territory. It's not a true hybrid model for all positions.
Advice to Management: Leadership should rethink the definition of flexibility for field-based teams. More understanding about personal time, not just hitting sales targets, would help a lot.

Work-Life Balance is Decent, Can Be Busy
Pros: They really do offer good benefits, like solid PTO, for a big corporate company. As an Associate Product Manager, there's some flexibility for hybrid work, which is nice. Good for remote days.
Cons: Sometimes, especially nearing a product launch in the medical device industry, the hours get pretty long. It's tough to consistently stick to 40-hour weeks when projects stack up. Can feel like there's always more to do.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scope and expectations to prevent burnout for product development teams. Consistency in work-life balance would be a huge plus.

Culture is decent, team dependent in corporate setting
Pros: There's a good sense of community within specific teams, especially when you're on a critical medical device project. You feel like your work as a Quality Engineer really matters here. The hybrid work model is a solid perk too, offering good flexibility.
Cons: The overall culture can feel a bit impersonal at times, especially in the larger Kalamazoo, MI office. It's a huge corporate company. Sometimes there's too much focus on bottom-line metrics and less on employee well-being. Work-life balance can get tough during crunch times.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more personal connections across departments, not just within immediate teams. Balance the drive for metrics with genuine employee recognition and support, especially for medical device development roles.
