What's on offer?

Due to recent changes and growth in our South Australian business we are looking to appoint a new Divisional Manager - Spray Seal / Blending and Emulsion. Based in Adelaide, you will oversee our Spray Seal, Blending and Emulsion Business Units, helping us drive effective, safe and profitable outcomes. We are seeking a leader with experience and skill in managing change, developing people and who has a demonstrated ability to satisfy both internal and external customers. You will be someone with solid business acumen and will know what it takes to deliver financial and safety performance through people.

What you will be accountable for:
Providing direction and leadership to the Blending and Emulsion and Spray Seal businesses, clearly establish roles and responsibilities and ensuring performance expectations are consistently met.
Leading your team in the delivery of bituminous surfacing projects for public and private sector clients; ensuring exceptional customer service, while maximising operational performance, profitability and return on investment.
Driving a safety-first approach in line with Fulton Hogan's "Living Safely" Culture
Preparing targets and objectives for the Business Units and providing regular reporting feedback as to actual progress towards targets.
Preparing business plans and associated annual budgets, including capital acquisition requests.
Completing commercial and financial reviews of monthly project costs ensuring forecasted cost to complete are accurate across all projects for the month.
Showing initiative to identify and address issues before they arise, with the aptitude and flexibility for taking on new challenges.
Employee mentoring and development.
Ensuring bituminous products and spray seal practices meet client's specification requirements.
What we need from you:

Proven technical knowledge and track record of delivering profitability on various bituminous surfacing projects and programmes of work, within a safe environment.
Experience leading a geographically dispersed business, with strong financial and commercial acumen to improve business performance in challenging markets.
Proven leadership of diverse teams across large geographies.
Demonstrated understanding of budgets, forecasting, subcontractor management, estimating and cost control.
A persistence to drive positive outcomes, while fostering a culture of autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Strong stakeholder management skills, coupled with the ability to take ownership and problem solve when competing stakeholder interests.
Proven technical knowledge on bitumen, emulsion, and its various applications.
Proven strong commercial understanding within the construction sector.

Our Opportunity
We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Project Manager for our NBN N2P Project within our Fulton Hogan Utilities business. This role is based in Belmont, WA. We are seeking a manager who can motivate and lead teams, whilst closely managing schedule, quality, budget and safety, minimising risk and driving productivity. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to drive your career further, and gain industry relevant experience, with on-the-job skill development/coaching offered throughout. We offer excellent employee benefits and pathways for further growth; not surprisingly, many of our Senior Managers have started as Graduates or Site Engineers!

In this role you'll be responsible for:
• Promoting a positive and safe work culture
• Management and motivation of supervision and self-perform work crews
• Engaging, mobilising and maintaining positive working relationships with subcontractors
• Management of project risk, cost and schedule, executing construction programs to minimize cost ensuring they are in line with the forecasted revenues
• Preparing, monitoring and updating production plans and working to weekly and monthly programs
• Managing safety and quality across the project
• Managing stakeholders (client, community, subcontractors, suppliers and other agencies)

How you'll connect to the role:
• An appropriate qualification in Project Management or Engineering or similar
• Some understanding of agile project management principles – visual management boards prioritising work, daily stand-ups etc
• A practical understanding of civil construction, including plant operations and ideally fibre network construction
• The ability to drive commercial and operational outcomes from your teams
• The ability to produce and present accurate project reports and forecasts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team delivering Road Maintenance Projects on the MRWA Southern Network Contract. Based in Albany, we're looking for who can play a crucial part in developing and delivering various projects in the region.

You will be responsible for:

Delivering works in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies/procedures
Client interface and engagement for work packages, including developing the works scope, tendering, scheduling and project management
Preparing subcontract packages and administering to fulfill site requirements
Cost control, monitoring productivity and forecasting costs to complete
Programming, planning and managing the delivery of works programmes for various clients, with management of internal and external crews

How you’ll connect to the role?

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent tertiary qualifications
MRWA experience desirable
Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines
Knowledge and experience with financial management, forecasting, procurement and contracts management functions
