The Senior Grid Planning & Strategy Engineer is the strategic architect responsible for aligning our BESS pipeline with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). • BESS Dispatch & Revenue Optimization: Model grid-level BESS dispatch scenarios (e.g., peak shaving, frequency regulation, and spinning reserve). Advise the commercial team on how the National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) will utilize assets under the CRESS framework.
• Investment Roadmap Development: Design 5-to-10-year infrastructure investment plans. Identify optimal Point of Interconnection (POI) locations in the 132kV/275kV network where the grid is "thirsty" for BESS, ensuring long-term project bankability.

The Senior Grid System Design Engineer is the technical "Gatekeeper" for our BESS pipeline. This role carries dual responsibility: performing the advanced mathematical simulations required for TNB approval and acting as the primary technical auditor for BESS and PPC hardware suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• BESS Dynamic Modeling: Develop site-specific BESS models including Inverters (PCS), Battery
• Management Systems (BMS), and Power Plant Controllers (PPC). You must accurately model GridForming (GFM) logic, Virtual Inertia, and sub-50ms Fast Frequency Response (FFR).

• Designing and implementing the first generation of network automation playbooks, scripts, and templates for standard changes, provisioning, and configuration compliance across IT and OT networks
• Selecting and implementing initial toolchain components (e.g. Git repository, CI/CD tool, Ansible/Terraform, basic test frameworks) defining how they will be used by the operations team
