This position is located at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawai’i.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility to carry out all the service provisions of the contract with the devoted time exclusively for the required scope of work with support from the Regional Manager.
- Oversee supervision of the day-to-day operations, manage exceptions, emergency situations and effectively communicate with the ACH, TSA and Airlines
- Supervise the administrative work including O&M Services, safety, training, inventory management, quality assurance, human resources, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and contract administration.
- Availability for calls, requests and emergencies on a 24-hours per day, 7-days a week basis with maintaining a qualified alternate when absence at the site
- Attend regularly scheduled and/or on-demand meetings, required system training sessions, tours and inspections
- Identify potential problems by being valiant in monitoring and evaluating the required systems and equipment, and developing solutions for corrective maintenance
- Review and approve expenditures for parts, supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and subcontracted work requirements with support from the Site Manager
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of Supervisor, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.
Work Environment:
The primary work environment is similar to an office environment. However, the Supervisor must have the ability to conduct business in outside weather conditions, near moving machinery parts; on an active Airport ramp; near vehicles and jet aircraft.
Qualifications:
- 2 years BHS, PBB operations and maintenance experience or technical certification preferred;
- Strong organizational, participative management, team building, customer service and verbal & written communication skills;
- Ability to operate the CMMS database;
- Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel and CMMS Database);
- Active Driver License.
- Familiarity with Airport operations a plus.
- Computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to clearly direct, lead work tasks, and delegate assignments to peers.
- Ability to communicate professionally to customers and fellow employees.
- Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport.
- Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift including weekends and holidays.
