As the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist in Occupational Health you will provide and lead in the delivery of professional, specialist assessment and treatment of staff with physical and psychological conditions affecting workplace performance, and ensuring appropriate pathways of intervention for staff at work and absent from work.

Provide specialist rehabilitation advice in areas of expertise, in line with best practice and legislation including delivery of workplace assessments, functional capacity assessments, case management, supporting with reasonable adjustments and return to work plans.

Contribute to and lead the development and delivery of manager and employee training programmes to assist with improving the competence and confidence of our managers when facilitating rehabilitation programmes for staff members.

Consultant in Neonatal Medicine (NUH) - 10PA



An enthusiastic and highly motivated clinician is invited to apply for a Neonatal consultant post at Newham University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.

This newly created 10 PA post will be an addition to a team of 6 neonatologists working in a busy level 2 unit supporting an annual birth rate of >5500. The unit is part of the NCEL Neonatal Network and provides care to families from the local Newham community, many who have complex medical and psychosocial needs. We are looking for candidates with appropriate training and experience in neonatal medicine. There is no general paediatric component to this post, but this can be considered if required for personal development purposes of any candidate.

This is an ST3/IMT3+ level Clinical fellow post to join the Older People Services (OPS) department at the Royal London hospital. The successful applicant will work predominantly within the Trauma and Perioperative Older People Services (TPOPS), under the supervision of TPOPS consultants.

This is a highly desirable opportunity for a trainee looking to pursue a career in surgical liaison or orthogeriatric working in a leading Major Trauma Centre. The focus of the role would be to provide geriatric liaison support to major trauma and surgical specialty teams with outpatient perioperative clinic and high-risk anaesthetic MDT experience.

There would also be opportunity to gain experience throughout Older People Services department in general geriatrics, outpatient work and acute frailty if desired. Responsibilities would include participating in the local education programme and teaching junior doctors, medical students and the wider MDT.

There would be an expectation to complete a quality improvement project or research project, or to contribute to the development of a clinical guideline.

The post includes weekend working covering OPS wards, on a rota of 1 in 5, with no overnight cover.

Thoracic surgery is currently delivered by a team of 5 full-time consultants, 6 registrars, and junior clinical fellows, with a separate thoracic surgery ward and high dependency unit. There is on-site respiratory medicine and thoracic oncology support, further strengthened by co-location with the Barts Heart Centre, enabling expedient, convenient and best care of the co-morbidities common to us. The thoracic surgery department has been expanding rapidly and actively pursues innovation and service improvement to improve patient outcomes, and there are many opportunities for audit and research.

We are looking for registrars who will be post-CCT in August 2024 with senior thoracic surgery experience who are motivated and enthusiastic and wish to develop a sub-specialty interest in robotic thoracic surgery. In addition to your clinical duties providing care to thoracic surgery patients, managing referrals and attending the operating theatre, you will also be attending regular multidisciplinary meetings, participating in the weekly educational programme. In addition to this you will be expected to contribute to the departmental research program including into robotic surgery as the Thorax centre has the largest robotic thoracic surgery practice in the UK. Time will be given for training and professional development.

There are 6 thoracic surgery registrars who currently work full time in thoracic surgery. Each registrar will take part in a 1:6 non-resident rota.

The clinical work will consist of:

Operating Theatres – first assistant or primary operator with dual console supervision withat least 2 operating theatre days per week, working with two European proctors.

Participation in the organisation of operating timetable and admissions.

Undertake daily ward round

Carrying out general ward work as part of the rota, under the supervision of the consultant.

Supervising junior doctor ward work

Attendance of MDTs

Attendance and presentation in audit meetings, teaching programme and research meetings.
