Assistant Vice President, Policy Processing
Responsibilities
* Manage the operation of the Policy Processing Department
* Revamp and implement efficient and effective work systems, automating wherever possible
* Introduce service standards and measurements
* Ensure compliance with all laws, regulatory provisions and company policies
* Prepare department and implement new/transitional processes for the new systems
* Ensure effective business continuity plan in place
* Ensure and maintain processing data input integrity, efficient and secure storage, ease of access
* Develop and motivate staff
* Ensure succession planning in place
* Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree/ Diploma and/or Professional qualification in insurance
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
* Understanding of the insurance business
* Good knowledge of the use of technology and automation
* Knowledge of laws relevant to insurance and operations
* Interpersonal savvy
* Good relationship building skills
* Extensive knowledge of customer needs and delivery system
EXPERIENCE:
* At least 10 years’ experience in the industry in operational capacity & managing a team
* Process Management experience
* Statistical analyses of operational results and trends
