RESPONSIBILITIES

• The incumbent is primarily responsible for improving operational management systems in front-end systems such as point-of-sale projects.
• He/ she will contribute to a dynamic team who is responsible for the streamlining of existing processes, formulation and implementation of new technology projects, including performing user acceptance testing, as well as stakeholder management.
• Support project lead in implementation of standard operating procedures for new initiatives, in accordance with audit and financial requirements which involves the formulation of training materials for end users.
• As a subject matter expert of those projects, he/she will resolve business system production issues together with the relevant stakeholders and assist in gathering feedback from stores and other stakeholders post-live. Continuously identify gaps and work closely with ITD and vendors in issue resolution.
• Candidate is also required to travel between outlets for pre/post project implementation, including deployment of the various projects and interact with people from all levels.

• Diploma in any discipline, preferably in Business and Marketing or Business Info Systems
• Previous working experience in the retail industry preferred but not compulsory
• Experience in conducting UAT independently will be a plus point

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The role will require an entrepreneurial approach and willingness to use initiative but also a strong grounding in M&A, with at least some understanding of how risk is apportioned between parties in the transaction documents via the warranties, indemnities and limitations.
• With access to, and support from Howden M&A’s wider team’s extensive skill set, the successful candidate will:

1. Learn about the M&A insurance market and the risks assumed by the insurance market;
2. Understand and learn the unique Howden M&A approach to broking which has underpinned our growth to date;

Job Summary:

As an associate in the team you will work closely with subject matter experts from the Climate Risk and Environmental & Social Risk teams to translate the requirements into practical solutions and contribute to enhance the existing firmwide risk frameworks, policies and standards. The Climate, Environmental & Social Risk Implementation function is tasked with integrating the Firm’s approach to managing risks and overseeing plans to address associated regional regulatory requirements.The role requires ability to navigate the Firm’s Risk Management and Compliance organization, being familiar with the businesses and products offered globally by JPMorgan Chase.In doing so, the individuals should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in their interaction with key stakeholders within the Firm and evidence this through their experience in driving initiatives within Risk Management.

Job Responsibilities

• Guide the implementation of the Firm’s climate risk management framework, within the APAC or EMEA/LATAM regions

• Function as first-point of contact for the Climate Risk and Environmental & Social Risk teams regarding regulatory demands across the legal entities

• Ensure that the interpretation of regulatory expectations, use of climate data and scenarios, and documentation created is consistent with Firmwide practices, as applicable

• Represent the Climate, Environmental & Social Risk teams internally and externally in regulatory engagements

• Guide internal risk functions and LOBs in adapting internal policies to climate, environmental & social risk considerations

• Develop an external network, including through industry initiatives, to stay informed of the latest climate, environmental & social risk regulatory developments in the region

• Provide education to internal stakeholders and legal entity structures

Required Skillset, capabilities and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Law, Government, Economics, or International Relations. Master’s degree preferred.

• Knowledge of risk management practices, systems and processes

• 6 plus years including:

+ Experience in Credit or Market Risk Management

+ Experience driving regulatory compliance and governance initiatives, preferably focused on ESG related themes

• Working knowledge of Climate Risk Management

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Robust understanding of how a bank functions, including its key decision-making processes

• Prior experience of working in a bank or equivalent financial institution would be preferred

• Strong leadership abilities and experience delivering high-impact projects across multiple teams

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape; knowledge and understanding of international regulations and standards; preferably those related to climate, environmental & social risks

Onboarding & Implementation Associate/Executive

(3 months contract – May to Jul 2024)

We are urgently looking for candidates to commit to a 3-month contract in our Onboarding & Implementation team.

The Team:

The candidate will be part of the Onboarding & Implementation team assisting in data maintenance in systems due to migration and addressing accounts set up issues. The team is responsible for putting in place and executing proper due diligence, independent controls and reporting mechanisms for the onboarding of new counterparties or implementation of new businesses. In addition, on an ongoing basis, the team is required to maintain and keep up to date all account information and documentation in accordance with established procedures, as well as KYC best practices. The team works closely with all levels of both front and back offices to integrate processes and control procedures to ensure company risk is protected and customers’ needs are met.

Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Data maintenance relating to customer and commission information on back office systems
• Investigate & resolve any account setup issues on respective back office systems
• Timely update of particulars of customers and/or counterparties in the respective systems upon request
• Ensure completeness with sufficiency of documentation for record keeping as part of account maintenance

Requirements:

You should possess the following:

• A minimum of a Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business, Accountancy or equivalent
• Preferably some working experience in financial services industry, preferably familiar with AML/KYC tools & due diligence processes
• Fresh graduates are welcome too
• Meticulous and analytical with eye for details & alertness
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of work concurrently
• Process-oriented and able to work well under pressure in a fast paced operational environment;
