Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Develop web application using technologies such as Angular, .NET Core, Kafka, to be deployed in a

containerized service such as Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), using event driven

Microservices architecture

2. Good Understanding of OOPs concepts

3. Strong hands-on knowledge on RESTful services, Web API, Entity Framework

(Experience with Code First migration experience is a plus), LINQ and SQL Server

4. Participate in daily agile scrum stand-ups for status updates, assignments, and collaboration

5. Participate in domain-driven design workshops and develop business logic

6. Experience with Azure or any other cloud computing platform

7. Experience in writing unit tests e.g. xUnit, Jasmine

8. Familiarity with API tools including Swagger and Postman

9. Knowledge of Patterns and Good practices to design and develop quality and clean code

10. Familiarity with task management, bug tracking, and wiki-based documentation tools like Azure DevOps

11. Experience with testing at all levels: unit, integration, functional, and performance.

12. Degree / Diploma in Computer Programing or related

13. At least 2-3 years of experiences in .NET programming or .NET Core

What you will be doing 

This position is with Retirement Engineering group with following responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex programs
• Work with Business Analyst to understand business problems and rewrite them into fast and efficient solutions that ultimately help our customers.
• Understand business logic from legacy code and adjust / modernize same to suit current customer needs
• Write highly efficient, scalable and maintainable programs so that they can cater to variety of customer data processing needs
• Note: This group uses SAFe Agile

 What you bring: 

Knowledge / Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Design, code and test major features, and work jointly with other team members to deliver complex areas of functionality under tight deadlines.
• Document specifications, design areas, test results, and solutions implemented
• Code corrections for identified defects for new and existing releases of the software
• Ensure compliance with predefined coding best practices
• Ensure adherence to processes as required by the project
• Update the manager of the progress on module, flag risks and issues early on in the process
• Coordinate with lead programmer(s) and business analyst(s) with focus on effective communication from a delivery perspective
• The individual may be required to work on multiple areas simultaneously (development, platform releases, installations, conversions, support, training, etc.)

Skills

• Strong in Core Java, Latest features of Java (8, 11 & 17)
• Strong in JSP, Servlets 3.0
• Strong in Javascript, Jquery
• Frameworks – spring boot (good to have)
• Knowledge of Design patterns
• Deployment and insight on App. Servers – JBoss, Tomcat
• Background of building Web applications is mandatory.
• Sound analytical & communication skills
• Sound debugging skills & hands on knowledge of industry standard tools such as eclipse.
