The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role within a practice accountancy firm and hold a professional qualification such as ICAS, ACCA or similar. They work with a range of clients from personal tax clients and 'one man' companies, to audit and accounts preparation of multi million-pound companies and groups. Their clients sit within a range of industries including manufacturing and engineering to professional partnerships such as Solicitors.


Your new role
As Account Semi-Senior, you will prepare financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole proprietors for review. You will be required to take part in audits for local clients. You will also have bookkeeping duties and will use software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero. You will be a part of an experienced team of supportive staff.


What you\'ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous working within practice and will have some experience working in audits. If you have experience working with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and Excel as well as good communication and interpersonal skills, you will be a great fit for this role.


What you\'ll get in return
In return, you will be offered a competitive salary between £25,000 and £35,000 dependant on experience. You will be able to have a hybrid working pattern as well as a competitive firm wide benefits package including holidays, and pension contributions.

Your new role
As a Semi-Senior Accountant within this firm, you will support clients with the preparation of yearly statutory accounts, communicating regularly with customers about their business activities and with other departments to coordinate all aspects of the accounts' preparation process in a timely manner. You will use a range of accounting software to maintain financial records for your clients. Through excellent communication and service delivery, you will develop effective relationships with clients and will collaborate with colleagues, communicating regularly with managers and directors. The ideal candidate for this role will be capable of managing more complex accounts preparation activities and will review the work of more junior members of the team.


What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate for this role will have gained experience preparing year-end accounts for clients from start to finish within an accountancy practice and will now be seeking the opportunity to step up to more complex work. You will ideally be AAT Qualified and/or part way through ACA or ACCA and will be offered fully funded study support to enable you to continue with your exams. Excellent systems skills (using a range of accounting packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, Receiptbank) and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues will also be key.
