I learned a lot about media relations and strategic communications here. Management is generally supportive, and there are opportunities to grow within different client accounts.
Cons: The main challenge is maintaining a consistent work-life balance. During peak campaign periods or client crises, the hours can extend significantly, making it hard to switch off. While flexibility exists for remote work, expectations around availability can be high, sometimes blurring the lines between professional and personal life. This is common in the fast-paced PR industry.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing clearer guidelines on workload expectations during critical client periods to help employees better manage their time and prevent burnout. Perhaps exploring some core working hours for remote staff could also help manage responsiveness expectations.
