Pros: Before the big push for return to office, the WFH options were solid for Software Engineer roles. You could pretty easily adjust your schedule for appointments. It felt like a modern tech industry company then.
Cons: The new hybrid model feels too strict, especially for the Austin, TX office. We have mandated days onsite, which makes it hard to manage personal stuff. It's just not as flexible as they used to advertise.
Advice to Management: Rethink the current hybrid setup. Trust your engineering teams to get work done, regardless of specific office days. More genuine flexibility would boost morale a lot.
