Pros: The best part about Lightdash is definitely the people and the collaborative environment. As a Software Engineer, I've had so many opportunities to contribute to an open-source business intelligence platform and learn directly from talented colleagues. The distributed team structure works really well, offering fantastic remote work flexibility which is huge in the tech industry. Management is generally supportive, and there’s a real sense of shared purpose in building a valuable data analytics
Cons: Like any growing startup in the software industry, sometimes the workload can spike, especially around major release cycles. While there's good informal mentorship, more structured career progression paths for individual contributors would be beneficial for long-term planning within our engineering team. It occasionally feels like processes are still evolving, which can sometimes lead to minor communication gaps across different parts of the distributed team.
