Pros: As a Software Engineer, I did appreciate the initial hybrid model. You could usually WFH a couple of days a week, which was a decent perk for those of us living outside the immediate San Francisco office area. It helped with the commute and gave some flexibility.
Cons: Lately, though, it feels like they're pushing for more onsite days. It's tough when you're working on mobile app development and need focused time, but there's an expectation to be in the office more often. This growing startup needs to re-evaluate their remote work policies for all teams.
Advice to Management: Offer more remote options for engineering roles. Trust your teams to get the work done without constant onsite presence, especially for technical roles in mobile app development.
