Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dimsum dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure the quality, freshness, taste, and presentation of all dimsum products.
  • Supervise the preparation and portioning of ingredients.
  • Monitor food quality and consistency during production and service.
  • Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients and coordinate stock requirements with the kitchen or procurement team.
  • Train and guide kitchen staff on proper dimsum preparation techniques.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is properly used, cleaned, and maintained.
  • Minimize food waste and control production costs.
  • Assist in developing new dimsum products and improving existing recipes.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Dimsum Chef or in a similar culinary role.
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern dimsum preparation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
