Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Riverbed WAN Optimization Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network performance across LAN, WAN, and data center environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Riverbed Steelhead solutions, network performance monitoring, and enterprise network operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesWAN Optimization & Network Engineering- Design, deploy, configure, and support Riverbed Steelhead appliances and WAN optimization solutions.
- Manage and optimize network performance across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
- Support Cisco routing and switching infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement performance enhancement strategies for critical business applications.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis- Utilize SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, network health and performance.
- Analyze network traffic and identify bottlenecks affecting application performance.
- Proactively detect and resolve network issues before they impact business operations.
- Generate performance reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
IT Service Management & Operations- Manage network-related incidents, problems, and change requests through ServiceNow (SNOW).
- Participate in regular maintenance activities and scheduled network upgrades.
- Provide on-call support for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents on a 24/7 basis.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
Documentation & Collaboration- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to operational best practices.
Required Skills & QualificationsMust-Have Skills- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Riverbed WAN Optimization technologies.
- Strong experience with:
- Riverbed Steelhead
- RIOS
- RS WAN Optimizer
- Experience supporting enterprise WAN and LAN environments.
- Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Experience using ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills- Experience with SolarWinds, ThousandEyes..
- Exposure to enterprise data center environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale global networks.
- Relevant networking certifications are an advantage.
