What are we looking for?
The role is a client-focused position responsible for delivering secure networking project outcomes while supporting the managed services team through technical expertise and guidance. This hands-on position covers all engineering aspects of projects, including design, implementation, documentation, and handover.
Skills Required
- 5+ years' experience delivering enterprise network projects within complex, mission-critical environments.
- Experience with network management and automation platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center, FortiManager, Cisco SDA, and/or NDFC highly regarded.
- Current Cisco CCNP Enterprise or Security certification required; and Fortinet NSE4 (or higher). - Strong expertise in enterprise routing, switching, LAN/WAN, wireless networking, high availability, and network security technologies.
- Experience configuring and supporting firewalls, VPNs, Network Access Control (NAC), and secure network architectures.
- Proficiency with network monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnostic tools.
- Solid understanding of supporting infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and PKI/Certificate Services.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
What will you do?
Project & Service Delivery
- Design and implement secure enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, and network access control (NAC)
- Deliver network upgrades, migrations, and change activities (MACDs) following best practice and change management frameworks
- Partner with project managers to deliver outcomes within scope, budget, and timeline
- Act as an escalation point for critical incidents and provide guidance to managed services teams
- Contribute to solution design, technical estimates, and pre-sales activities where required
- Support and mentor junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and capability uplift
- Provide insights to improve delivery processes, technical standards, and service efficiency
Documentation & Standards - Produce and maintain high-quality engineering documentation including:
- Network designs and diagrams
- Implementation plans
- As-built documentation
- Maintain accurate time tracking for project reporting
- Contribute to knowledge bases, engineering standards, and reusable templates/design patterns
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and service delivery teams across the business
- Provide technical validation and design input during project lifecycle and pre-sales stages
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers
- Ensure smooth project handover to support teams
