Excellent Flexibility for a Global Presales Role
Pros: The work flexibility is truly a standout benefit here at TeamViewer. As a Presales Solutions Engineer, I can structure my day effectively from Adelaide, supporting our APAC SMB clients with remote connectivity solutions. This allows for a great work-life balance. There's a collaborative team environment and ample opportunities to learn about new technologies in the software industry. The company trusts its employees to deliver, which fosters a sense of ownership and autonomy. It's a solid
Cons: While the work flexibility is fantastic, navigating the high workload during busy sales cycles, especially across multiple time zones in the APAC region, can be intense. Sometimes, internal communication or getting quick approvals from teams in other global offices can be a bit slower than desired, which occasionally impacts how fast we can move for our SMB clients. It's a minor point, but it could be smoother.
Advice to Management: Focus on enhancing cross-regional communication and streamlining internal approval processes to maintain agility, especially for teams supporting fast-paced markets like APAC SMB.

Good Role in a Global Software Company
Pros: The best part is being part of a globally recognized software company with innovative solutions. The team I work with is fantastic, very collaborative and supportive. There are opportunities to learn about different remote support technologies and connect with international colleagues. The hybrid work model offers good flexibility.
Cons: Sometimes, communication on project changes or new policy rollouts could be clearer and more timely. There are occasional tight deadlines that can impact work-life balance, especially during peak periods. Upskilling opportunities exist but aren't always structured proactively for everyone.
Advice to Management: Continue investing in employee development and ensuring clear, consistent communication across all departments and shifts. Streamlining some inter-departmental workflows would be beneficial.

Tech role in global SaaS, good team dynamics but demanding pace
Pros: The team I worked with at TeamViewer was fantastic – really collaborative and supportive. It's a globally recognized name in the remote connectivity software industry, which adds a lot of credibility. There's good exposure to modern tech stacks and opportunities to contribute to impactful features. The flexible work hours and remote options are a big plus for managing personal life.
Cons: The main drawback is the intense pressure around release cycles. Sometimes, this leads to long hours and the feeling that work-life balance can easily slip. Communication between departments, particularly between product and engineering, could sometimes be clearer to avoid scope creep or last-minute changes, which impacts team efficiency.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering team collaboration and technical development. Consider optimizing project planning to better manage release pressures and ensure consistent work-life balance for engineers.
