Solid Stability in Fund Administration
Pros: The work is steady. For Fund Accountant roles, especially in the Chicago office, there's always a need. It's a stable job within fund administration, which is good.
Cons: Career growth can feel slow sometimes. Don't expect huge leaps up the ladder quickly. It's a corporate setting, so things move at a certain pace.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer career paths for experienced staff. It would help with retention in specific back office operations roles.

Work-Life Balance is Decent, But Can Vary
Pros: Most weeks, you can hit 40 hours, which is decent for an alternative investments firm. There's some flexibility if you need to leave a bit early for an appointment. The team is pretty supportive during crunch times for NAV calculations.
Cons: Client deadlines make some weeks super long, pushing past 5 PM, especially month-end. It's mostly onsite work in the Dublin office. Not much remote flexibility for fund accounting roles. Sometimes you feel like you're always on call.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage client expectations on deadlines. More support for Fund Accountants during peak times would help ease the burden. Consider more hybrid options for experienced staff.

Solid place, but not for fast career growth
Pros: The team is generally supportive, and you learn a lot about alternative investments and back-office operations. It's a stable company, which is nice for job security. The WFH option is decent too.
Cons: Career growth is really slow for Fund Accountant roles. There aren't many clear paths to Senior Accountant or other leadership positions unless someone leaves. Promotions aren't frequent, and it feels like you hit a ceiling fast.
Advice to Management: Management should create clearer promotion frameworks for junior staff. Invest in development programs so Fund Accountants can see a future here. It'd help with retention for sure.
