Solid pay, slow career growth path
Pros: The compensation package and benefits are quite good. You get solid exposure to enterprise-level ERP software development. It's a stable company, so there's good job security.
Cons: Career growth is genuinely slow here. Promotions for technical roles don't come easily; you really have to fight for them. There isn't a clear path for advancement if you want to stay in an individual contributor role.
Advice to Management: Management should really invest more in clear career ladders and mentorship programs. It would help retain talent, especially for experienced Software Engineer roles. Focus on internal mobility and growth for technical staff.

Work-life balance is decent, project-dependent
Pros: I've been able to work remotely from my home office for Infor. That WFH flexibility is a huge plus for my personal life. When projects are calm, it's pretty easy to stick to 40-hour weeks in the enterprise software industry.
Cons: But as a Solutions Consultant, project deadlines for ERP implementations can be brutal. There are definitely times I'm working 50+ hours. It's tough when a client expects immediate responses after hours, impacting my personal time.
Advice to Management: Give Solutions Consultants more control over project load. Focus on employee well-being, not just client satisfaction, especially during demanding enterprise software implementations. Burnout is real.

Okay culture in a massive enterprise software company
Pros: I've met some really smart folks here, especially within my immediate team for enterprise software development. The remote work flexibility is a huge plus. Benefits are pretty standard and decent.
Cons: The company culture feels a bit stale, honestly. It's a big tech company so things move slowly, which can be frustrating as a Software Engineer. There's not a strong sense of unified vision across all departments.
Advice to Management: Focus on fostering more cross-team collaboration and breaking down departmental silos. Try to inject more energy and innovation into the culture, especially for individual contributors.

Infor's Culture: Room for Improvement
Pros: I gotta say, the teams are really supportive. People genuinely help each other out, which is nice. For a big tech company, the training programs are actually pretty solid. You learn a lot about different industries.
Cons: The company culture feels kinda disconnected sometimes. It's a huge corporate environment, and communication often goes one-way, from the top down. As an Application Consultant, it sometimes felt like my voice didn't really matter.
Advice to Management: Focus on making employees feel more heard. Better communication from leadership would really help unify the company culture across different teams, especially in a remote setting.

Decent place for cloud solutions, but watch out.
Pros: The hybrid work model is actually pretty flexible. I appreciate not being in the New York City office five days a week. As a Software Engineer, I usually hit my 40-hour weeks. Some teams are good about setting boundaries for enterprise software projects.
Cons: But there's definite pressure to deliver, especially on big client projects. That can mean crunch time that messes with your evenings. Sometimes you get pulled into urgent issues, and it's tough to just log off.
Advice to Management: Encourage managers to protect team boundaries more. Consistency in workload would help morale across all engineering teams.

Culture is a mixed bag, WFH is solid
Pros: I've really liked the remote work setup here. As a Software Engineer working on ERP solutions, being able to WFH from Atlanta has been great for my personal life. We get decent benefits too.
Cons: The company culture can feel pretty fragmented sometimes. There isn't a strong sense of team across different departments. It feels a bit like several smaller companies operating under one big Infor umbrella, which makes collaboration tough for technical roles.
Advice to Management: Try to create more initiatives that bridge the gaps between teams. A more unified Infor company culture would help a lot with overall morale and project success, especially for remote employees.

Benefits are okay, but pay could improve
Pros: The health insurance benefits are solid, and the 401k match is decent after a year. They offer a good amount of PTO, which is nice for a big tech company. I appreciated the hybrid model work arrangement from the Atlanta office.
Cons: Base salary for Cloud Solutions Consultant roles isn't competitive compared to other enterprise software companies. Raises were pretty minimal each year. It's tough to feel valued when pay doesn't keep up with market rates.
Advice to Management: Review salary bands for all positions, especially for technical roles in the enterprise software space. Competitive compensation really helps retain talent.

Leadership struggles, remote work is a plus
Pros: I've really appreciated the work-from-home policy. Being able to work remotely as a Software Engineer provides good flexibility. The enterprise software products are interesting to develop.
Cons: Upper management often changes strategies out of nowhere. It's tough when leadership doesn't clearly explain their decisions. There's a noticeable disconnect between executives and the daily engineering teams.
Advice to Management: Leadership needs to focus on consistent communication and clearer strategic direction. Involve team leads and mid-level managers more in decision-making processes. Transparency would help a lot.

Good experience, but job security is low
Pros: The pay and benefits are pretty competitive for a big tech company. As a Technical Consultant, I learned a ton about complex ERP systems. It's solid experience for the SaaS industry, and the WFH setup was great.
Cons: Job security is a real worry here. There's always chatter about reorgs or layoffs, which makes it tough to plan ahead. It often felt like my role could be eliminated, even with good performance.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more transparent about the company's direction and headcount plans. Clear communication would really help reduce anxiety around job security for employees.

Good for initial learning, then growth stagnates.
Pros: I've learned a ton about **enterprise software** development, especially working with our ERP solutions. It's a decent spot for a junior **Software Engineer** to pick up new skills and dive into various projects.
Cons: Career progression feels really slow, especially for mid-level **technical roles**. There aren't many clear paths upward, and promotions take forever, even if you're hitting all your goals. It's tough to see a long-term future if you're looking for quick advancement.
Advice to Management: Really invest in clear career paths and speed up the promotion process for individual contributors. It's hard to keep good talent when they don't see a way to grow within the company.
