Leadership's okay, but growth is slow
Pros: My direct manager was usually pretty supportive, which helps a lot when you're dealing with tough reqs. We also have decent HR tech tools for sourcing. The WFH option is solid for us Talent Acquisition Specialists.
Cons: Senior leadership feels pretty disconnected from daily operations. It's tough to get clear answers on where the company is headed, and there's not much of a path for career growth for recruiting professionals. Decisions often feel top-down.
Advice to Management: Work on clearer communication from senior leadership regarding company strategy and individual career paths for talent acquisition roles. More mentorship programs would help a lot.

Okay Job Security for a Startup, But Watch Out
Pros: The job security as a Recruitment Specialist here is decent for a fast-paced startup. If you hit your targets, you feel pretty secure. The hybrid setup in the Austin, TX office also adds a bit of stability, which is nice.
Cons: However, it's still a startup in the HR tech industry, so job security isn't ironclad. There's always that underlying worry, especially for staffing roles when hiring slows down. Things can shift quickly here, which creates some uncertainty.
Advice to Management: Management should be more transparent about business performance and how it directly impacts roles, especially for talent acquisition teams. Clearer communication about future plans would help ease employee anxieties about job security.

Pay is okay, benefits could be better
Pros: As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, my base salary was pretty competitive for a mid-sized tech company in Austin, TX. The bi-weekly pay was always on time, which is good. They offer solid 401k matching too, that's a definite plus for financial planning.
Cons: Health insurance premiums felt really high, though, cutting into take-home pay quite a bit. There aren't many perks beyond the basics, not like other HR tech firms in the area. It's tough to feel fully compensated for the workload, especially with hybrid work expectations.
Advice to Management: Seriously look into better health plans or subsidy options for employees. Also, consider more unique benefits to stand out in the competitive recruitment industry, especially for roles like Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
